Dear TV,

It has been a long football season with you and I; one I am sure you are ready for to be over and done with, but with college football season coming to an end I am going to miss our Saturday morning rituals. Waking up each Saturday morning to spend 3 hours watching College Gameday is a highlight of my fall semester. Desmond, Chris, Corso, and of course the handsome Herbie bring joy to my life with their discussions and debates about the future of Texas Longhorn Football (and those other schools too I guess) is music to my ears! The rest of our Saturday together was spent fervently rooting against all the teams I hate, which is a list that is too long to even type.

Now I know throughout the season my screaming and yelling probably offended you, but don’t take it personally…it’s not you, it’s them. I know you didn’t fumble the football, throw an interception, lose a preseason game (or two), but thankfully things got better for my Texas Longhorns and I know you are eternally grateful. You should probably thank Greg Robinson and his miracle transformation of the defense, the McCoy to Shipley third down conversions, the aired out long pass to Mike Davis for a touchdown, the 3 incredible running backs who can move the ball well, a Jackson Jeffcoat sack (or 7), and Fera with his uncanny ability to make field goals (we will ignore the botched punts for the time being). This is all quickly ending though and our time together will return to Netflix and HuluPlus, and the passionate yelling will subside.

We have two final games. One final game in the regular season and a bowl game, and Saturday is a big one against number 9 Baylor none the less. I write this to tell you to prepare yourself. Prepare yourself for screaming, yelling, jumping, probably some hyperventilating, and if we lose some definite anger and sadness. I know when the season is over though you will anxiously anticipate the return of our Saturday mornings with the College Gameday crew together in the fall once again to hopefully discuss the ranked Texas Longhorns and hopefully a dying Alabama dynasty (a girl can dream right?)
